I loved this wedding in blues, greys, blush pinks and creams. Charlotte and James got married at All Hallows Church at Mitton followed by a reception at Browsholme Tithe Barn.
What I didn't love was my car breaking down half way between the Church and the venue with a boot full of flowers for the table centres. I was happily travelling at 60mph on one of the hottest days of the summer when my car abruptly stopped. I flagged down the next car - it just happened to be Charlotte and James. I told them not to worry and I'd be there shortly even though I was in a state of sheer panic!!!! The next car I flagged down was one of their ushers who then flagged down their best man. Between these two gents and their guests all the flowers - and me - were bundled into the two cars and we made our way to Browsholme abandoning my car on the side of the road. Luckily I had finished off the garlands for the candelabras in the back of the car while waiting for the Church service to finish - it had to be done last minute anyway because it was so hot. The other thing in my favour was that my hubby had delivered our candelabras to the venue the day before. I finished setting up the venue before waiting for breakdown to arrive. Again, luckily my hubby had organised break down cover literally two days before, we'd been without for many years! Two other strokes of luck were breaking down in the shade and finding a can of coke and a bag of crisps in the car which kept me going while I waited for two hours for breakdown to get me back to Longridge. I arrived back at 7pm - 12 hours since I had first arrived at the shop to finish off the last minute details.
Despite all the misfortune (and all the luck!) Charlotte and James were a gorgeous couple and I was thrilled they loved what we created for them. Sadly my best camera was with Carl at a different wedding so the pictures I took on my phone aren't the best. Browsholme really did look stunning.
